Local Beta Club inductees

Last week, Fayette-Ware Comprehensive High School held their National Beta Club Inductions. The mission of the club is to promote the ideals of academic achievement, character, service and leadership among elementary and secondary school students. They are to also reward meritorious achievement, encourage and assist students continuing their education after high school. The program has helped students learn how to make something of themselves by teaching ideals and citizenship.
There are eight principles that every member must strive to promote: honesty, justice, service, cooperation, responsibility, industriousness, humility and charity. As well as meeting the eight principals, students must also maintain a grade point average of a 3.0 and receive two teacher recommendations. Being a student-centered organization, the National Beta Club continually seeks ways to develop and nurture students by providing opportunities and experiences that enable them to demonstrate the ideals of character, achievement, service and leadership.
All members have the opportunity to exercise their many talents and abilities, as well as interact socially with others at state and national conventions. The new members will experience leadership training, goal setting and self-esteem building activities.
The new Beta Club members are: Zack Anderson, James Avant, Corey Bacon, Allison Bates, La’Deja Beasley, Terrica Beasley, Davenity Blayde, Whitney Bonds, Chantryce Boone, Nathan Bryan, Emily Butler, James Clements, Angela Cox, Haley Culhane, Kyra Davis, Terra Glover, Alyssia Goforth, Lela Gregory, Phazsa Harris, Jasmine Hester, Ryan Hooton, T’Yana Hudson, Jesse Hurst, Ravell Hurt, Coty Johnson, Gwendalyn Johnson, Brittany Mack, Isaac Morrow, Alexis Murrell, Jermeshia Pearson, Amairany Ramirez, Jakevious Rosser, Gabrielle Sales, Dara Spicer, Michael Sudduth, Demyah Turner, Danielle White , Darryl White, Tierra Wilkerson, Samuel Williams and Teaira Williams.
