The Oak Room of the Somerville Bank and Trust was filled with delicious smells on Feb 24 as Fayette County 4-H held its annual County Baking Contest. The categories were cornbread and cookies. Fourth graders baked cornbread and fifth and sixth graders baked cookies. The first place winners of the club contests were invited to bring their winning food to the county contest. In cornbread, first place was Ajah Jones of Northwest Elementary, second place was Oliver Williams of Southwest Elementary, third place was William Kelley of Southwest Elementary and fourth place was Matthew Crook of Fayette Academy.
